About

HigherDOSE combines PEMF with far-infrared heat in two home-use mats: the full-body Infrared PEMF Pro Mat and the smaller, more portable Infrared PEMF Go Mat.

HigherDOSE PEMF

HigherDOSE takes a very different approach to PEMF than companies selling large clinical machines. Its PEMF products are mats designed to live at home, and they combine PEMF with infrared heat rather than treating PEMF as a standalone technology.

There are really only two mats to understand: the Infrared PEMF Pro Mat, which is the full-body version, and the smaller Infrared PEMF Go Mat.

That makes HigherDOSE refreshingly easy to shop. If you want to lie down and use PEMF across your whole body, look at the Pro Mat. If you want something smaller that can go over a chair, sit in a meditation space or be tucked away when you're finished, that's the Go Mat.

HigherDOSE sells plenty of other wellness equipment—including infrared sauna blankets and red-light products—but those aren't PEMF devices, so we're concentrating on the two products that are.

Infrared PEMF Pro Mat

The Pro Mat is the flagship PEMF product in the HigherDOSE range and the one to look at if you want a full-body mat.

Rather than giving you PEMF alone, HigherDOSE combines it with far-infrared heat and layers containing materials including amethyst and tourmaline. You can use the heat and PEMF together as part of the same session.

The PEMF side is kept fairly simple. There are four frequency settings rather than a complicated control panel with dozens of programs. HigherDOSE associates the four settings with different parts of the day and different wellness routines, from relaxation and sleep through to focus and energy.

At the time of writing, the Pro Mat is listed at C$1,749 on HigherDOSE's Canadian site.

It's a substantial purchase, but it's also worth putting that price in context. This is still very much a consumer home product. You're not stepping into the $10,000, $20,000 or $30,000 territory we've seen with professional PEMF systems.

Infrared PEMF Go Mat

The Go Mat is essentially the smaller sibling.

It uses the same combination of PEMF and far-infrared heat and gives you the same four PEMF frequency levels, but it's roughly half the size of the Pro Mat.

That changes how you'd use it.

You can put it over a chair while you're working, lay it on the floor for stretching or meditation, or use it somewhere you simply don't have room to leave a full-body mat.

It's not tiny—the Go Mat measures about 19.5 by 39 inches and weighs around 11 pounds—but it's considerably easier to move and store than a full-length mat.

There are two PEMF cores rather than the four used in the larger Pro Mat. Its four frequency levels span 3Hz to 23Hz.

The Go Mat is currently C$969 on the Canadian site.

If you live in a smaller space, want something you can use while sitting down, or simply don't see yourself regularly lying on a full-body mat, the Go may actually make more sense than spending extra on the Pro.

So, Pro or Go?

This is one of those cases where the names tell you most of what you need to know.

Choose the Pro Mat if you want the full-body experience.

Look at the Go Mat if space, portability or sitting rather than lying down matters more.

Both give you infrared heat and four PEMF levels. The big difference is the amount of mat you're getting and how that fits into your day.

We wouldn't automatically choose the Pro simply because it's more expensive. If you're realistically going to use the Go Mat over your desk chair five days a week and leave a full-body mat rolled up in a cupboard, the smaller one may be the better buy.

What Does HigherDOSE PEMF Cost?

On the Canadian HigherDOSE site, current pricing is:

Infrared PEMF Go Mat — C$969
Infrared PEMF Pro Mat — C$1,749

The US HigherDOSE site currently lists the Go Mat at US$699 and the Pro Mat at US$1,295, so make sure you're looking at the correct regional store when comparing prices.

HigherDOSE also sells starter kits and occasionally runs promotions or includes accessories with a purchase.

Prices, bundles and offers can change. Check the official HigherDOSE website for the latest price and exactly what's included before ordering.

The 120-Day Return Window Is Worth Noticing

Buying a PEMF mat online isn't quite the same as buying something you've already tried in a store, so HigherDOSE's current return policy is useful.

Its wellness technology, including the Infrared PEMF Mats, currently comes with a 120-day money-back guarantee from the date of delivery. HigherDOSE also provides a prepaid return label under the policy.

The PEMF Go Mat and Pro Mat are covered by a one-year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.

One detail is particularly important: HigherDOSE says its consumer products are intended for home use, not commercial or institutional use. Commercial use can void the warranty.

So if you're buying equipment for a spa, wellness centre, chiropractic office or other business, don't assume that a consumer HigherDOSE mat can simply be put into commercial service.

Who Is HigherDOSE Best For?

HigherDOSE makes the most sense for someone who wants PEMF to fit into an at-home wellness routine without buying a complicated machine.

There aren't dozens of settings to learn, separate applicators to position or professional packages to configure. You choose between the full-size and smaller mat, select one of four PEMF levels and decide whether you want to use the infrared heat as well.

It's also particularly relevant if infrared heat is something you already want. You're getting the two technologies in one mat rather than buying separate pieces of equipment.

The Go Mat has an obvious appeal for smaller homes and people who want something they can use while sitting. The Pro is the better fit if your idea of a PEMF session is lying down and having full-body coverage.

When We'd Look Elsewhere

HigherDOSE isn't trying to be a professional PEMF system.

If you want extensive control over frequencies and intensity, multiple applicators, targeted attachments or equipment for a commercial practice, we'd look elsewhere.

The same applies if you specifically want PEMF without infrared heat. The combination is central to what HigherDOSE is selling.

And while the Go Mat is more portable than the Pro, neither is a tiny wearable or handheld PEMF device. If true portability is the priority, there are smaller options in the market.

A Word About Health Claims

HigherDOSE markets its PEMF mats around areas including recovery, relaxation, sleep, stress and general wellness. It also makes stronger health-related statements on parts of its website.

We don't independently claim that a HigherDOSE PEMF mat will treat pain, improve a medical condition or produce a particular health result.

There are also people who should not use the mats. HigherDOSE specifically advises against use during pregnancy and for people with pacemakers or other implanted electrical devices, among other cautions. Check the manufacturer's current safety guidance and speak with a qualified healthcare professional if you're unsure whether PEMF is appropriate for you.
