About

The iMRS prime is a premium modular PEMF system combining a full-body mat with optional local applicators, far-infrared technology, advanced controls, user profiles and other wellness features.

Swiss Bionic Solutions — iMRS Prime

The iMRS prime is the kind of PEMF system you arrive at when a simple mat with a few preset programs isn't enough.

Made by Swiss Bionic Solutions, it's a modular full-body PEMF system built around a large touchscreen control unit and a collection of different applicators. You can use the full-body mat, switch to a smaller pad or spot applicator for a particular area, add far-infrared heat, and even add biofeedback and light-and-sound features depending on the package you choose.

There's quite a lot going on.

For some buyers, that's exactly the attraction. For others, it may be more PEMF system than they actually need.

What Is the iMRS Prime?

At the centre of the system is a 10.2-inch touchscreen control panel connected to a separate connector box.

From there, you connect the applicators you want to use.

The Exagon Mat is the full-body PEMF applicator. The Exagon Pad is a smaller local applicator, while the Exagon Spot is designed to wrap around or be positioned at a more specific area.

Swiss Bionic also offers an Exagon FIR version that combines the PEMF mat with far-infrared heat.

That's the first major difference between iMRS prime and something like a consumer PEMF mat. You're not buying one mat that does one thing. You're buying into a system that can be configured in several different ways.

The Full-Body Mat

For most home users, the Exagon Mat is probably the part of the system they'll understand immediately.

You lie on it for a full-body PEMF session, much as you would with other full-body PEMF mats.

Underneath the surface, however, the iMRS prime is considerably more adjustable than the simpler mats we've looked at. Swiss Bionic uses a low-frequency PEMF approach, with the full-body mat operating within a frequency range of approximately 0.5 to 15 Hz.

There are Fast Start programs if you don't want to configure everything yourself, but you can also move into Manual Mode and adjust parameters individually.

And if more than one person in the household uses the system, you can save different user profiles rather than starting from scratch every time.

Pad or Spot?

This is where the modular setup becomes useful.

The Exagon Pad is a smaller flat applicator containing two copper coils. Instead of lying across a full-body mat, you can position the Pad where you want it.

The Exagon Spot gets more specific again. It consists of two flexible sections that can be positioned around an area, with one coil in each section.

You don't necessarily need every applicator simply because Swiss Bionic makes them. But if targeted use is important to you, having the full-body and smaller applicators within the same system is one of the stronger reasons to look at iMRS prime.

It Can Run Two Sessions at Once

One of the more unusual iMRS prime features is Split Mode.

The connector box contains two separate converters and six applicator connections. In Split Mode, the touchscreen divides into two independent control areas, allowing two separate PEMF applications to run from the same system.

That's probably overkill for someone who plans to lie on the mat once a day at home.

It becomes much more interesting in a professional or shared environment where two applications may need to run independently.

It's a good example of why the iMRS prime can straddle the line between an advanced home system and equipment that makes sense in a wellness business.

PEMF Plus Far-Infrared

Swiss Bionic also offers its Exagon FIR technology, which adds far-infrared wavelengths to the PEMF mat.

That puts iMRS prime into some of the same conversations as combination products such as HigherDOSE, but the implementation is very different.

HigherDOSE gives you PEMF and infrared in a relatively simple consumer mat. With iMRS prime, infrared is one part of a much larger modular system.

If all you want is a warm PEMF mat to use at home, the simplicity of the former may be appealing. If you want one system with full-body, targeted and other optional functions, iMRS prime gives you considerably more room to expand.

Then There Are the Extras

This is where iMRS prime starts to move beyond PEMF alone.

The optional Exagon Brain uses light and sound for what's known as brainwave entrainment. The goggles contain LEDs, while the system combines visual and audio stimulation.

There's also Exagon Sense, a biofeedback sensor that monitors signals including heart-rate variability and blood oxygen information and can dynamically adjust PEMF intensity during a session.

Neither is necessary if you're simply looking for a PEMF system.

But they help explain what Swiss Bionic is trying to build: not just a mat or PEMF machine, but a broader wellness platform that can be expanded with different technologies.

How Complicated Is It to Use?

Looking at all those components can make iMRS prime appear more intimidating than it needs to be.

Swiss Bionic has tried to solve that with its Fast Start Programs. These provide preset programs so you can start a session without manually setting every parameter.

Once you want more control, there's Manual Mode.

Program Mode lets you create and save individual users and their preferred settings. Split Mode handles the two independent applications.

There's considerably more to learn here than there is with a four-setting consumer mat, but you don't have to use every advanced function from day one.

Swiss Bionic also offers an optional Full-Service Package that includes an onboarding call over Zoom, technical support for 12 months and an additional 12 months of warranty coverage.

What Does iMRS Prime Cost?

This is one area where Swiss Bionic is less straightforward than some of the consumer PEMF companies.

The main iMRS prime product page explains the different components and packages, but does not currently publish a simple retail price alongside the system.

Swiss Bionic sells through its international offices and network of independent LifeStyle Consultants, and the final price depends on the package and applicators selected.

Because of that, we aren't going to publish a price that we can't verify directly from the manufacturer.

If you're considering iMRS prime, ask for the current price of the exact package you're comparing and make sure you know which applicators, accessories, support and warranty extensions are included.

Warranty and Support

Swiss Bionic offers warranty-extension packages called Carefree Plus, available in additional 12- and 24-month periods. These include an exchange program for technical defects during the selected guarantee period.

There's also the Full-Service Package, which adds 12 months of direct technical support, an onboarding session and an additional 12-month warranty extension.

Because warranty coverage can depend on the package, country and purchase arrangement, check the current written warranty terms for your specific system before purchasing.

Who Is the iMRS Prime Best For?

The iMRS prime makes the most sense for someone who knows they want more than a basic PEMF mat.

You may want full-body PEMF but also want smaller applicators. You may want to control settings rather than rely entirely on presets. Perhaps several people will use the machine and you want individual profiles.

It's also interesting for wellness professionals because of the ability to run two independent applications from one control unit.

And then there's the person who simply likes technology and wants the ability to add things later. You don't have to buy every available component immediately, but the system gives you somewhere to go if you want more than the basic setup.

When We'd Look Elsewhere

If your main priority is simplicity, iMRS prime may be more than you need.

Someone who wants to unroll a PEMF mat, choose from a handful of settings and get on with their day can find much simpler—and likely less expensive—options.

The same applies if price transparency is important while you're researching. It's easier to compare a C$1,749 HigherDOSE mat with another publicly priced mat than it is to compare a configurable system that requires you to request current package pricing.

But if you're specifically looking for a premium, configurable full-body PEMF system with multiple applicators, iMRS prime belongs in the comparison.

A Word About Health Claims

Swiss Bionic makes a number of wellness and health-related statements in its educational material about PEMF, far-infrared technology and its other features.

We don't independently claim that iMRS prime will treat pain, heal an injury, improve a medical condition or produce a particular health result.

The technical specifications and features described here come from Swiss Bionic's published materials. They tell you how the system is designed and what it includes—not what medical outcome you personally will experience.

If you're considering PEMF in connection with a health condition, implanted medical device, pregnancy or another medical concern, speak with an appropriate healthcare professional and review the manufacturer's current safety information before using the system.
